What does GRASP look at?
GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP) is an add-on that supports the assessment of workers’ health, safety and welfare at farm level. GRASP is not a certificate; it is a social practice assessment carried out together with IFA.
GLOBALG.A.P. GRASP covers social responsibility topics such as workers’ voice and representation, information and indicators on human and labour rights, and the protection of children and young workers. It is assessed together with the IFA audit to reduce the audit burden.
GLOBALG.A.P. terminology uses the word “assessment” for GRASP. A producer who completes the assessment successfully receives not a certificate but a letter of conformance valid for one year. The current version is GRASP v2, aligned with IFA v6.
Who is this programme relevant to?

- Farm operations wishing to structure worker welfare and social practices
